Description

The leather covering is damaged and missing in places; the leather covering the spine has been replaced at some point. Only the upper catchplate on the back cover remains; all other elements of the two clasps and straps have disappeared.

General

The processional shows signs of having been well-used over the years. Folio 154 is missing (according to the medieval foliation), along with two other folios, all three having been removed with a straight edge. Between folios 153 and 155, a small gathering of two double leaves, along with a fifth leaf that has been pasted in, has been added. The decoration of the last parchment gathering suggests that it was not copied at the same time as the rest of the manuscript. After the last of the (presumably) original folios (fol. 162), another gathering of six leaves of heavy paper has been added with text and music written in a 17th-century hand.
