Notes
General
There are ten fragments in all, including three intact leaves and two large fragments that appear to be two halves of a fourth single leaf. The other five fragments are all smaller and have varying dimensions. The fragments all appear to be from the same manuscript and bear similar page layout, script type and decoration. Each page has a 4-line music staff, ruled in ink, above a line of text. There are 13 rows of text and music on each page. The text is 7 mm tall and the music staff is 13 mm tall.
General
The fragments are all in poor condition from having been used in the maintenance (?) of the organ in the begijnhof church in Sint-Truiden. (They were recovered during restoration of the organ.) The fragments are darkened, dirty and exhibit serious buckling/warping of the parchment support. Thick remains of a sticky residue, probably a glue of some sort, remain on one side of each fragment. In some cases, the glue has caused the original ink and pigments to fade.
