The MMFC database aims to collect descriptions of all the medieval and early modern manuscripts (up to 1600) that are held in Flemish collections.

Many of the fragments available in Flemish collections have been fully digitised in the ‘Comites latentes’ project and can now also be consulted on the Fragmentarium platform. Fragmentarium is an international project to create a laboratory for the scholarly study of medieval manuscript fragments. It enables libraries, collectors, researchers and students to publish images of medieval fragments, allowing them to catalogue, describe, transcribe, assemble and re-use them.
